When I link movement, the oils and breathing intentionally I am reminded of the present moment and I feel uplifted and optimistic.”

Q:  How do you find balance in your daily life?

A: I make sure that I exercise everyday, by walking, practicing yoga or doing some kind of workout.

Q:  What motivates you? Your mission?

A: Helping people realize they are responsible for creating their being well and have tools for manifesting vibrancy and good health. I love teaching others the power of their thoughts and conscious language and helping people realize how powerful they are! My mission is to transform health care with essential oils.

Q:  Which modality are you more drawn to in the UZIT model?

A: Essential Oils and Reiki and Yoga Therapy.

Q:  In what population are you currently using your UZIT skills?

A: UZIT Students, private clients

Q:  What is your meditation practice?

A: I do a Running My Energy meditation everyday.

Q:  How has your UZIT training changed your life?

A: It’s shown me how potent this work is.  Sharing UZIT in the hospital with patients makes such a profoundly positive difference for patients and their care partners. It’s giving me hope for the health care system. Working with the extraordinary and dedicated people in the UZIT community makes me want to do my best in growing the Urban Zen Integrative Program. I’ve made lifelong friends, and continue to meet others who also want to make a positive impact in health care!

Q:  How do you UZIT?

A: I use essential oils to start and end my day. I put a few drops of an uplifting, clearing and motivating essential oil in my diffuse just before I get to my desk, and I put a few drops of Frankincense and Lavender  (or whatever oil I am feeling like I need) on the crown of my head and behind my neck a few times a day to stay grounded and calm.

Q:  How do you live the UZIT modalities in your day- to day life?

A: When I apply the oils, I take the time to stand up, stretch my arms up as I feel my feet, doing a variety of mindful movements with breath awareness  for 3-5 minutes every few hours of the day. When I link movement, the oils and breathing intentionally I am reminded of the present moment and I feel uplifted and optimistic.
