“People are brilliant and have such a desire to feel well or connect back to themselves. Supporting this need or desire is a fire in my belly because I can share what knowledge through education and life experiences I have had and meet each where they are.”

Q:  How do you find balance in your daily life?

A:  I find balance in my life through a process of introspection on a daily basis. It is through this process that I can self-reflect to know where I am out of balance then I have a gracious reference point to change and/or add a new modality to find the balance I need. As a working mom, finding small things daily that resonate with me on a personal level brings in fresh air and perspective. Something I have learned over the years is that I must be intimate with myself in order to know what will bring balance. Simple things like helping a blind person cross the street can bring me balance but also going for a manicure and pedicure can bring balance. It’s important know what your list of “go-tos” are so you have them at your fingertips when you feel out of balance.

Q:  What motivates you? What is your mission?

A:  People are brilliant and have such a desire to feel well or connect back to themselves. Supporting this need or desire is a fire in my belly because I can share what knowledge through education and life experiences I have had and meet each where they are. I can begin to offer the life skills/tools I have as an option for finding ease of breath, calmness of mind and integration with the body. I work with people to develop a self-care practice that is customized to meet their needs and that  is an incredible feeling.

Q:  Which modality are you more drawn to in the UZIT model?

A:  This is a trick question because it depends on the what I need in the moment. I carry essential oils (or what I refer to is my medicine cabinet is a small bag) and I use it all throughout the day. However, mindful movements and restorative postures are also used daily and the Reiki, well that is like a powerline that is always on, and I use the body awareness meditations with my son when it’s bed time. These are all woven into my life daily.

Q:  What is your meditation practice?

A:  This is a great question my meditation practice is sweet. I get to sit with my husband and sometimes my son which is only like 5-7minutes, sometimes it can be 11minutes long. It’s family time and we set our day. But there is a personal practice in there that is for me and it is best done in the early morning before New York city and my family are awake.

Q:  How has your UZIT training changed your life?

A:  UZIT has added to my life a skill — or a metaphysical toolbox — that I can use with anyone from anywhere at any time. There were times in my life that I observed someone suffering from illness and emotional pain and I had nothing tangible to offer them.  Now that I have UZIT modalities and the UZIT framework, I can sincerely offer a support beyond telling someone “I am sorry…” which is extremely empowering both for me and for those around me.

Q:  How do you UZIT?

A:  I UZIT all day everyday with clients, with my family, with neighbors, with friends, with myself. UZIT is part of my life like basketball is to Lebron James…all day, everyday.

Q: How do you live the UZIT modalities in your day- to day life?

A:  UZIT shows up daily and it’s not a separate thing in my life it is integrated into my life. It’s just like brushing my teeth or getting dressed. It’s on my mind all day, it’s in my body all day and it uses my breath to inform me when things are about to fall apart or when everything is just right. I have something tangible to use as a way to care for myself to care for others; to be of service. Now, that is not to say that I am always happy and life is always upbeat.  Let me be clear that there are some sincerely crazy lows and this is when UZIT really shows up for me because I have shown up to practice.  Just like all things that are done as practice, they becomes a habit that becomes my fallback.  If I am empty, I am no good to anyone. I use these tools to keep my glass at minimum half full.
